is a rising young star from Barrio Porvenir in the Village of Mata Ortiz. Roberto’s potting influence came from Lila Silveira, Tavo Silveira and other superb Mata Ortiz potters. He began potting when he was 16 years old now married with two children he pursues his craft with a spirit of excellence. His work is always superb in both painting and olla construction. This superb ‘Burnt Orange’ colored clay olla is superbly crafted and painted with ivory and black paints. The designs are from Roberto’s ‘Paquime’ heritage.The olla measures
