Hector Ortega is a master of the 'turbino style' olla. He is featured in the book, The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz, pg.121. Hector was taught by his brother in law Chevo Ortiz and also Nicholas Ortiz. His 'turbino ollas' are primarily done in red and black clays. Always highly polished to a mirror sheen. This 'Grande Turbino' olla is done in red clay and measures a generous 11.0" h x 11.0" w. A flawless, magnificent 'red tubino' for the discreet collector!
