SOLD Celia Veloz is without a doubt becoming one of the premeire potters in the village of Mata Ortiz. The daughter of master potters Saul Veloz and Armida Saenz, Celia has been blessed with their gift of fine ceramic arts! Her precise painting and olla construction continues to amaze me! This olla was fired on 22 September, 2005 and immediately put into my hands for this gallery! The olla is constructed in a creamy white clay and painted in Celia's 'Quezada Style Designs' for which she has become known. The olla is painted in rich red and black paints mixed by her father Saul. An impeccable masterpiece by a beautiful young artist.
