Armida Saenz is a very seasoned potter from the Village of Mata Ortiz, Mexico. She is the mother of Award winning Celia Veloz . On can see the influence of Armida in Celia's exquisite painting and olla construction. This olla was made for this gallery in March of 2007. It measures 7.5"h x 6.5"w construction in stark white clay and superbly painted in deep red and black 'paquime' designs. A rare find by an exquisite potter! SEE ADDITIONAL PICS BELOW
